Graduation Tickets
Tickets are required for the guests of graduation candidates to attend the ceremony. Each graduation candidate will receive five tickets only. Tickets are not required for infants and small toddlers who will remain in an adult’s lap for the duration of the ceremony.
Cap & Gowns
Students may begin ordering their cap and gown. The deadline to order online is March 22, 2024. Cap and gowns will be delivered to the campus Bookstore no later than April 22, 2024.
Grad Fair
The FMU Grad Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the FMU Bookstore. Students can pick up caps and gowns, invitations, purchase class rings, and other items.
Dress Code
Commencement is a formal ceremony. Proper attire and behavior are expected. Comfortable, business casual clothing is recommended for graduates. We also recommend graduates wear shoes and clothing that are visible under their gown in dark colors that complement the commencement gown. Pants should also be below the length of gown. Shorts, sneakers, and flip flops are not permitted.
Seating Area
All graduates will be seated on the floor. Graduates are seated with their classmates according to school or college and degree level. Graduates are not seated alphabetically or by specific degrees. All graduates will be displayed on the video screens as they receive the degrees on stage. Children are not permitted in the graduate seating area, so graduates cannot have their children sit with them nor are children allowed on the gradation stage.
