The Florida Memorial University Emergency Management Team is actively monitoring the development of Tropical Storm Ian.
The National Hurricane Center is predicting the storm to produce heavy rains to begin as early as Monday for the South Florida area.
At this time all classes, services, and events are operating on a regular schedule.
The team will continue to assess the situation and communicate any impact to FMU’s operations or activities as needed. You will find the latest information posted on the University’s website and social media. We urge you to sign up for emergency alerts, if you have not already done so.
The safety of our community is our top priority, and we urge everyone to closely monitor and prepare for the approaching storm.
