FMU’s Annual Breast Cancer Walk

Our Lions Entertainment Board, Health Services, and Human Resources collaborated to host FMU’s Annual Breast Cancer Walk.

Today’s event began with a health fair seminar in the Smith Conference Center.

Team members with Florida Blue and Memorial Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Center shared very important information about breast cancer screenings.

Although screenings cannot prevent cancer, mammograms can help find breast cancer early when it is easier to treat.

Following the seminar, dozens of students, staff, and faculty put on their “faith, hope, cure” specialty t-shirts and walked around campus in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Some walked in memory of a loved one and others for those who are currently battling this disease.

A variety food and treat trucks were also provided for the participants.
