 Colonel (Retired) Norma Ely, is the second child of four and grew up in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Mifflin Senior High School in in 1981. She enlisted into the United States Army Reserves as a private specializing in Quartermaster/Logistics and left Columbus Ohio in 1982 to attend one of the historical black colleges Florida Memorial University in Miami Florida. COL Ely is a 1986 graduate of Florida Memorial University where she was one of the first two graduates to earn a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in the Aviation Science Program. |
 Brenda Jackson, New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author of over 100 books and novellas. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Jacksonville University and worked in management for State Farm Insurance and retired after thirty-seven years. She married her high school sweetheart, Gerald and they have two sons, Gerald Jr. and Brandon, ages thirty-six and thirty-four, respectively. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. |
 Paul Jeremiah Joseph is a native of Miami and is the sixth child of the late Albert and Nellie Joseph. After graduating from George Washington High School, he enrolled in Clark College in 1949, but subsequently transferred to Florida Normal and Industrial Memorial College in 1952, graduating with his bachelor’s of arts degree in elementary education in 1954. Joseph later earned his master’s degree in education from Barry University in 1965. He is also a U.S. Army veteran, having served his country during the Korean War. |
