The Office of the Provost is responsible for providing leadership in the development and administration of FMU’s academic programs, library, Division of Continuing Education and Professional Studies, Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Office of Research and Sponsored Grants, Roar Marching Band, Center for Teaching and Learning, Social Justice Institute, Campus Ministry, Honors Program, and CARS (career, advising, retention services).
At FMU, students are provided the opportunity to join an array of excellent programs housed in our various academic units– School of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, School of Education and Social Sciences, and Division of Continuing Education and Professional Studies. Each of these academic units offers an array of high-quality degree programs, workforce credentials, and certificates.
Two of the most valuable components of the FMU educational experience are our highly qualified and dedicated faculty and our small class sizes enabling students to get to know their professors well and work with them on exciting research and community service projects. Teaching and learning at FMU also extend well beyond the classroom. Students are encouraged to engage in internships, field experiences, study abroad, and other forms of experiential learning.
Our strategic agenda will enable the University to realize a set of ambitious goals by 2025.
