On Thursday, Florida Memorial University welcomed the class of 2026 to the pride!
The “Elevating Minds, Transforming Lives” Convocation Ceremony was held in the FMU Wellness Center.
More than 600 freshmen, FMU’s largest class in 15 years, listened to words of motivation from keynote speaker Freddie Figgers.
Figgers is an inventor, computer programmer and entrepreneur, he’s also the CEO and Chief Software Architect of Figgers Communication Inc.
After the ceremony, guests followed up with a celebration lunch in the Marketplace Dining Hall where Mr. Figgers provided each student with an autographed copy of his book and awarded many students with scholarships.
