New Students

STEP 1. Admissions Check-In (Student Services Building – Suite 157).

STEP 2. Verify Financial Aid status (Student Services Building – Suite 159).

STEP 3. Confirm on-campus housing, if applicable (JC Sams Student Activity Center – Suite 112).

STEP 4. Report to the Testing Center (Sarah A. Blocker Hall – Room 224B). Provide ACT/SAT or PERT scores, if not submitted previously, to determine testing/placement status.

STEP 5. Music, Engineering and Aviation majors see the Departmental Advisor. ALL other New Freshmen report to the Center for Advising and Retention – The CAR – for advising and scheduling (Sarah A. Blocker Hall – Room 111).

STEP 6. Proceed to Student Accounts for Fee Assessment & Clearance (Student Services Building – Suite 125).

STEP 7. Obtain FMU Student ID (Student Services Building – Duplication/Copy Center – Suite 150).

STEP 8. Proceed to the Bursar’s Office to activate Student ID (Student Services Building – Suite 125).

STEP 9. Activate FMU Login/Password/Email Account – Information Management and Technology (IMT) Department (William Lehman Aviation Center – Room 216).

STEP 10. Proceed to the Health Educator for Health Insurance and Immunization information (JC Sams Student Activity Center – Suite 112).
