Student Social Work Association (SSWA)
The Student Social Work Association (SSWA) is committed to empowering aspiring social work professionals by providing a platform to enhance leadership and character-building skills. The mission is to create a supportive environment that encourages personal growth, community engagement, and the development of strong cohorts within the social work discipline.
The goal is to establish a supportive network for active members committed to upholding the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics. Join us the SSWA as they embark on a journey towards making meaningful contributions to our community and strengthening our social work cohorts.
Meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month during the academic year. Please contact Faculty Advisor Dr. Janice Brown Wharwood at 305-626-3105, email janice.wharwood@fmuniv.edu, or one of the SSWA members for additional information.
