Student Organizations & Activities

The Psychology Club

The Psychology Club is a Recognized Student Organization (RSO), open to all majors and minors of the Psychology Department. In the past it has offered films, speakers, information, social events, and a place to get to know fellow psychology students. The activities of the Club are dependent on the interests and degree of involvement of students from year to year. The Club elects its own officers to serve from September to September. As an RSO, the club is entitled to a working budget dues collected once yearly. Please consider this an invitation to get involved in the Psychology Club. All psychology majors and minors are welcome and any suggestions are appreciated. Fliers announcing Club activities appear around the department throughout the year. Faculty advisors are Dr. Shehni, Dr. Moss, and Dr. Stephenson.

Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology

Membership is extended to psychology majors who have completed at least three psychology courses, with a major G.P.A. above 3.0, and who are in the upper one-third of their class. In the past, Psi Chi locally has arranged speakers, field trips, movies, and other activities of psychological interest. There are usually special Psi Chi sessions at regional and national psychological conferences. For information about membership and activities, see Dr. Stephenson, Faculty Advisor.
