Outreach
Project L.I.V.E. is involved in outreach and community engagement and encourages participation and support from the student community and wider public. Some of our products, activities, events and opportunities for involvement are:
- Peer Educator classroom trainings on suicide prevention
- Conduct Mental Health Screenings/ Referral
- Identify and make referrals for those students who are found to be at-risk for suicide for suicide related issues such as depression and substance abuse offers both on-line as well as in-person screening.
Screenings are available for the following:
- Eating Disorders
- Mood disorder—depression, anxiety, PTSD
- Suicide
- Alcohol
Develop Life Skills and Social networks
- Conduct workshops and seminars that are designed to develop those life skills and social networks that serve to protect students from suicide
- “The LIVE Forum Network” weekly forums lead by mental health professionals on topics relevant to student mental health
