The Computerized Academic Skills Laboratory provides students an opportunity to reinforce classroom lessons and to eliminate specific academic deficiencies through the use of computer software programs.
The skills lab is used by students primarily to strengthen skills in mathematics, reading, and writing. Students may also develop skill in the use of computers (especially word processing). The laboratory coordinator assists, monitors, and supervises students who are referred to the laboratory by instructors.
Teachers are notified of the students’ activities and performance so that follow-up lessons may be planned.
