FMU provides a range of diverse options including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, supplemental disability benefits, and retirement plans. Our goal is to provide employees with a robust selection of benefits to meet their personal needs in dealing with work/life issues.

The University offers the following health insurance to eligible full-time employees:

  • Medical – Florida Blue (Up to 65% University Coverage, 35% Employee Paid)
  • Dental – Lincoln Financial Group (100% Employee Paid)
  • Vision – Eye Med (100% Employee Paid)
  • Gap Insurance – TransAmerica (100% Employee Paid)

The University offers the following supplemental plans to eligible full-time employees:

  • Group Term & Basic AD&D Life Insurance – Lincoln Financial Group (100% Employer Paid)
  • STD & LTD – Lincoln Financial Group (Employee Paid Coverage)
  • Accident, Cancer, Hospital Insurance, Enhanced Disability, Critical Illness and Term Life – Colonial Life (Employee Paid Coverage).
  • Legal Shield – (Employee Paid Coverage)

Education Benefits:

  • Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) is available to full-time eligible employees and their dependents. Participants who wish to participate in TAP are limited to a maximum of twelve (12) credit hours per academic year. TAP participation is subject to enrollment and availability.

Employee Retirement Options:

  • FMU offers full-time eligible employees the option to enroll and contribute to a retirement plan with TIAA or VOYA. Currently, FMU does not offer an employer match/contribution for the plans.
