Florida Memorial University Interim President Hardrick advocates for FMU on Capitol Hill

Miami Gardens, FL (September 14, 2018) – Washington, D.C. is the place where power, influence, resources, and relationships converge. Florida Memorial University (FMU) Interim President Jaffus Hardrick travelled to the nation’s capital to participate in the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s (CBCF) Annual Legislative Conference (ALC). During the conference, Dr. Hardrick is advocating the cause of and cultivating critical relationships with federal officials on behalf of South Florida’s only historically Black university. The president participated in the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project: Panel 1 – America to Me: Addressing the School to Prison Pipeline. U.S. Congresswoman Frederica Wilson hosted the panel. The Rev. Al Sharpton moderated the discussion.
