Florida Memorial University Aviation student receives $5,000 scholarship from Commissioner Ken Russell and The City of Miami

Today, FMU President Jaffus Hardrick, held a special luncheon for: James Jackson, Special Aide to Commissioner Ken Russell, Linda Diane Mackey, Bahamian Consul General, Sandra P. Carey, Deputy Consul General; Horace Hord and Elena Carpenter-Smith, both members of FMUs Board of Trustees, along with several members of FMUs staff, and one very happy FMU aviation student, Danisha Green.

When Green, who is attending FMU, woke this morning she had no idea, she would receive $5,000 by lunchtime. “I’m grateful to be at this University and to be the recipient of this scholarship, “said Danisha.
