Each year, the U.S. Department of Education selects a percentage of financial aid applicants for a more in-depth review of their financial aid information. This review is known as verification and will require certain additional information to be submitted before the financial aid process to be completed.
For the 2021-2022 award year, Florida Memorial University has partnered with KHEAA Verify to provide an online verification process for financial aid processing called KHEAA Verify. KHEAA Verify will contact students to advise of the additional documentation that is information needed. Only students selected for verification will need to create an account via our portal: www.kheaaverify.com/fmu
PLEASE NOTE: The verification process is not optional and must be completed before a student’s financial aid eligibility can be determined. Failure to submit verification documentation will delay award notification and disbursements.

INFORMATION FOR SUMMER 2020:
SUMMER- NEW & TRANSFER STUDENTS
To be considered for financial aid for the Summer sessions, students will need to have a completed 2020-2021 FAFSA on file with Florida Memorial University.
Transfer students will need to add Florida Memorial’s school code to the FAFSA. Please be sure to update your FAFSA and add our school code: 001486
In addition, transfer students submit copies of final, official college transcripts prior to receiving an award letter.
Students will receive a Missing Information Notice for any additional documents that must be submitted to the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships. Documents should be submitted as soon as possible for processing. From the date a student’s financial aid file is completed, we estimated 7-14 business days before an award letter will be issued.
SUMMER- RETURNING STUDENTS
Returning students must register and complete the Summer Financial Aid Request form so that we can determine your financial aid eligibility. Completed applications can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org . Please allow 5-7 business for processing and awarding. Award letters are emailed to the FMU email address on file.
