We the students of Florida Memorial University (FMU) do hereby promise to promote the welfare of the student body, develop a sense of leadership and responsibility for growth through initiative, discipline, and self-direction. We promise to execute to the fullest the powers, responsibilities and duties entrusted to us by the university’s administration. Our goal is to encourage a clear and continuous exchange of ideas between students, faculty, staff and the administration. We endeavor to promote academic freedom and loyalty with the belief that these are essential to the welfare of this liberal arts university, while recognizing the need for guidance.
This constitution is established in consonance with the authority delegated by the Board of Trustees and the Administration of FMU.
