TheatreSouth’s Summer Theatre and Acting Conservatory at the Lou Rawls Center for the Performing Arts at Florida Memorial University
The program will be a holistic learning experience in which middle/high school students will learn about performing from industry professionals and specialists with a focus on script analysis, scene study, stage movement, and characterization. In addition, they will gain hands-on experience from subject matter experts on auditioning, stage production, rehearsal preparation, costuming, sound, and lights. The conservatory will culminate in full stage productions that will be presented to the public. The plays chosen will depend on the demographics of the enrolled students. Once the plays are chosen, students will be expected to participate in rehearsals alongside their coursework. Students can select only one of the following sessions to reserve their spot!
