Academic Affairs

In partnership with university and community colleagues, the Office of Academic Affairs provides services and leadership to foster an outstanding and progressive culture of teaching and learning; scholarship and creative work; and engagement in the local and global society.

The academic programs at Florida Memorial University are administered by the Office of the Provost. The Academic programs are designed to broaden the intellectual experiences and abilities of students and, at the same time, recognize and provide for intellectual diversity as interests and goals are satisfied.

The academic programs of the University are contained within three Schools—the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Business, and the School of Education and Social Sciences. These Schools offer majors in subject areas leading to baccalaureate degrees, master’s and professional degrees (Education Specialist). The School of Arts and Sciences is comprised of four Departments— the Department of Arts and the Humanities; the Department of Aviation and Safety; the Department of Computer Sciences and Technology; and the Department of Health and Natural Sciences.

In addition, the School of Education offers the Master’s of Science in Education and Education Specialist degrees, and the School of Business offers the Master’s of Business Administration degree. The Center for Academic Resources and Support does not offer degrees.
