FLORIDA MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY TO HOLD
COVID-19 VACCINATION DRIVE AUGUST 24
FMU Encourages the Lion Community to Get Vaccinated!

Miami Gardens, FL, Thursday, August 19 – It’s not over yet! On Tuesday, August 24, Florida Memorial University will hold a COVID-19 vaccination drive on campus from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. FMU encourages all students, faculty, and staff to come get vaccinated.

The Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be administered at the Wellness Center, courtesy of Miami-Dade County. Attendees will enjoy a milkshake truck and live DJ. Once students sign up to receive their first dose, they can enter a raffle to win prizes including iPads, Samsung tablets, free student housing for one semester, and a student meal plan for one semester.

“I strongly urge all members of the FMU community to get vaccinated. This is the key to resuming our normal activities and campus life,” said Dr. Jaffus Hardrick, President of Florida Memorial University. “Vaccines not only protect you, your family, and your classmates, but help slow the spread of COVID-19 and its new variants. Join us to get vaccinated and protect the Lion pride.”
