Clinic Services
The following services are covered by your health insurance and are free of charge:

Primary medical care: Visit to see a Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or Physician

Health Screening: Immunization update while enrolled as a student PPD., Screening

Family Planning, Counseling and information

Laboratory test: blood, urine, and cultures as recommended by on-site health care providers

HIV counseling and testing

Limited over the counter medication on the Health Center Formulary
Your policy DOES NOT cover:

Vision care or dental treatment except when an injury is sustained during active enrollment.

Elective treatment or surgery.

Injuries sustained while participating in a riot or commotion.

Pre-existing illnesses including diabetes, epilepsy, sickle cell, hypertension or asthma.

Physical examinations for employment, joining organizations/fraternities or transfers to other schools.
All students with pre-existing chronic illnesses should report to the Health Clinic after registration so they may be directed in how to obtain continuing medical care. Be sure health information has been forwarded prior to enrollment.
Nominal Charges
What do I pay for? There is a minimal charge for:
- Prescription medication carried by the clinic
- Physical examination required for employment
- Physical examinations required for transfers to other schools
