Mission Statement

The Office of Student Activities constantly tries to develop the students of Florida Memorial University in every way possible. It has been one of our goals to make students realize that there is more to an education at Florida Memorial University than what takes place in the classroom; Educational and developmental experience will take place outside the classroom through ones participation in extracurricular activities, therefore, we endeavor to energize the campus through social activities and interest groups, while constantly reminding the students to maintain a proper balance between their classroom and out-of-classroom experiences.

   The office of Student Activities seeks to educate the "TOTAL PERSON ". Accordingly the concept of edutainment is a central tenet of the Office of Student Activities. "Edutainment" means that we will not only entertain you but educate you as well. We tell our students when they come to an event, if they are not careful, they might learn something. Programmed activities and events are announced in a variety of ways. Most events are published monthly in the Campus Lifestyle Calendar. The Office of Student Activities hopes these and other programmed events will energize participants and develop the "TOTAL PERSON".
