ELIGIBILITY 

First Term
Scholarship applicants must meet the minimum general scholarship criteria or the criteria indicated in the specific scholarship or its category, and demonstrate a certifiable financial need (if an institutional funded scholarship).  The following minimum criteria must be met.  To be considered applicants must: 

-formally apply for a scholarship 

-have a minimum high school un-weighted grade point average of 3.3 and a SAT score of at least 900 or an ACT score of at least 21 for Academic Scholarships 

-have a minimum cumulative un-weighted grade point of 2.2 (including high schools, if entering freshmen) and a SAT sore of at least 880  or an ACT score of 17 for Athletic, Incentive, and Cultural Scholarships. 

-be fully admitted and enrolled as a full time student (a minimum of 12 credit hours) for the duration of the scholarship period.

Returning Students 

The University’s scholarship opportunities are associated with the Financial Aid process. Students must complete annually a financial aid package, as need must be reestablished each academic year.  In conjunction with the financial criterion of need, other criteria are applied to the scholarship renewal process.  Renewal of any institutional scholarship is not automatic.  To be considered for renewal students must: 

-initiate the renewal process by informing the appropriate scholarship area director 

-be fully admitted, enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours, and have passed a minimum of 24 credit hours the previous academic year 

-have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.3 for Academic Scholarship recipients, and a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.2 for Athletic, Incentive and Cultural Scholarship recipients. 

-be recommended to the Scholarship Coordinator by the appropriate Faculty or Staff scholarship coordinator in the various Scholarship categories within two (2) weeks after Spring Semester grades are due in the Office of the Registrar 

-display moral turpitude (i.e., there must be neither disciplinary action taken  nor pending student conduct nor judicial issues)
