Media Relations

The Public Affairs office is the “First-Stop Shop” for the media. We publish the Media Sourcebook of University Experts, which presents our faculty experts as resources for the community. We keep the media informed of all events and activities at the University including breaking news, awards and achievements, academic programs, community outreach initiatives, and concerts and arts performances.

The Office of Public Affairs produces and distributes news releases, media alerts and other materials for use by journalists to announce recent occurrences on campus. The office also assists journalists in covering pertinent stories at the University and coordinates crises management programs in the event of an emergency.

When news breaks or you’re tracking a trend, A Florida Memorial University expert will be available to assist you once news breaks or if you require an additional angle for your story.
