Office of Public Affairs

The Office of Public Affairs is the communication branch of the President’s Office at Florida Memorial University. The mission of the Office of Public Affairs is to enhance the image and make the services, goals, activities, and accomplishments of Florida Memorial University known to our special audiences.

Using media relations, marketing techniques, publications, and special events, the Office disseminates key messages about Florida Memorial University and the campus family. The Office provides public relations planning and support to the marketing needs of individual programs and the overall strategy of Florida Memorial University. The Office analyzes and interprets public opinion, attitudes and issues that might impact the operations and plans of the university and advises the President and Board of Trustees on appropriate communication strategies.

Florida Memorial University Office of Public Affairs seeks to bring greater visibility and recognition to the university as a national and international leader in higher education. This will be accomplished by communicating effectively and regularly with the institution’s major constituencies including: alumni, students and prospective students, parents, faculty and staff, patients, the health care and higher education communities, church communities, friends of the university, foundations, corporations, the news media, and the general public.
