Microsoft Campus Agreement “Work at Home Rights” Policy

The new 2004-2005 Microsoft Campus Agreement with Florida Memorial University allows the University to install current versions of the Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office Suite software on home computers for any Florida Memorial  University employee who does Florida Memorial University work at home.

The Microsoft “Work At Home Rights” policy will become effective on October 1, 2004.

Because of the limited number of staff in the Division of Information Management and Technology to support the program, there are several procedures that must be followed to take advantage of this offer:

  1. Software will include the Windows 2000 or Windows XP (2003) operating system and Microsoft Office 2003 (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and Publisher).
  2. Computers do not have to be the property of the University.  They must however be used for Florida Memorial University work at home.
  3. Staff must call the Helpdesk at Extension 3191 and schedule a specific appointment for the install.
  4. Appointments will be limited to two computers per day.
  5. No CDs or License keys will be provided – software load only.
  6. IMT will not be responsible for any other software currently on the computer.
  7. IMT will not load any other software on the computer.
  8. Personal computers must be brought into the University by the staff member and picked up on completion – drop off is located in Lehman room 206.
  9. Three business days is required for the install.
  10. IMT will not repair home equipment not owned by the University.
