Faculty Network Logon Procedures
OBTAINING YOUR LOG-ON INFORMATION
Your Log-on information allows you access to the Florida Memorial University Computer Network. It consists of a User Name, a Password and Domain identification. With the Log-on, you may access the network from any computer located on the Florida Memorial University campus.
Each user is responsible for the confidentiality of his/her password and account.
The instrument that is used to determine if an employee is to be added or deleted from the Florida Memorial University Network is the Florida Memorial University Faculty and Staff Email Form. This form originates in the Human Resources department. Network accounts will not be established without receipt of this form. IMT keeps a copy of this form in their files.
Human Resources provides the IMT Department with a weekly list of all new hires and terminations. During the midterm point of each semester, the Human Resources department provides IMT with a comprehensive list of all current employees to insure that only valid staff has access. This also insures that network access for adjunct professors has been finalized.
On termination from the University, Human Resources processes an employee exit form. This form must be presented to IMT for signoff and deletion from the Florida Memorial University Computer Network. These forms will also be filed in the IMT department.
The Florida Memorial University Faculty and Staff Email Form contains information which is used to modify the following entities:
- Employee’s Florida Memorial University Computer Network Access Account
- Employee’s Florida Memorial University Email Account
- Campus List Serves
- Florida Memorial University Web Email Directory
- IMT Helpdesk System (TrackIt)
