Campus Activities at Florida Memorial University

Leadership, Character, and Service” is the motto of Florida Memorial University, and it’s a key part of preparing for the future. Getting involved in campus activities will help to develop character and social skills—and provide ways to start putting your promises into action.

At Florida Memorial University, there are dozens of opportunities to challenge yourself, interact with schoolmates from many nations, and contribute to the community. For example:

  • Sing with the Ambassador Chorale at local churches and national sporting events, or strut your stuff with the Mayumi Modeling Troupe. There are more than 80 Clubs and Organizations to choose from. Contact Student Affairs at 305.626.3710 to find out more or to create your own organization.
  • Stay fit, make new friends, and engage in friendly competition through intramural sports. To get in the mix, contact the University’s Intramural Recreation Sport Department at 305.626.3688 or 305.626.3710.
  • Show your pride in a homecoming step show with one of six sororities or seven fraternities. Florida Memorial has a thriving Greek community
  • Help plan campus events and represent your fellow students as an officer in the Student Government Association (SGA). Contact SGA through Student Affairs at 305.626.3717.
  • Get the facts and tell the whole truth, or collect and preserve memories of Florida Memorial as a writer/reporter, editor, or photographer with the Lion’s Tale student newspaper or the Arch yearbook. Get involved by calling 305.626.3103, faxing 305.626.3102, or email:
