The major in Middle Grades English/ESOL 5-9 provides students with strong content knowledge, educational theory and practice, methods of teaching and management principles and practices needed to address diverse learners. Students who complete this major are prepared to teach students from diverse backgrounds and for further study at the graduate or professional level. This degree program requires 129 credit hours for completion. In order to complete the degree in four years students must take more that 15 credits a semester or attend at least one summer session.
