Bachelor of Music in Church Music

The demand for qualified church musicians and church music administrators is at a critical level for church institutions throughout the United States and abroad. The church music degree program is designed to prepare musicians for the needs of traditional and nontraditional church denominations, for the progressive church education and training programs desired of church leadership, and for versatile music offerings for today’s eclectic and Afro-Centric congregations.

Graduation Requirements

This degree program requires a minimum of 121 semester hours for completion and is designed primarily for students desirous of becoming directors of music for churches or pursuing graduate studies.
