Greetings from Florida Memorial University’s Fall 2010 New Student Orientation Committee. We congratulate you on your admission and we welcome you to the “Home of the Fighting Lions where we Roar, Roar and Roar some more!” We hope that your time spent here will be enriching, rewarding, and exciting.  To assist you in making this happen, we have planned an array of orientation activities to inform, engage and aide you in your transition from either high school to college or college to college for transfer students. Here is the complete orientation program for the Fall 2010 New Student Orientation.  You may use it to make your travel plans, ask questions and to take note of some of the adventures that await you upon your arrival to our campus.

The Florida Memorial University Fall 2010 New Student Orientation week-long program begins on Saturday, August 14, 2010. You will check in at the A. Chester Robinson Athletic Center beginning at 8:00am.  At that time you will receive a full program of activities for you and your parents.  The Orientation Program is voluntary for parents; however, if they attend, it will give them the opportunity to better understand their role as a parent of a college student, as well as to learn about Florida Memorial University. FMU Administrators, faculty, staff, and student leaders look forward to working with both parents and students so that everyone will benefit and grow from this experience.

College is about new challenges, new ideas, new friends and new attainments.  We look forward to sharing these momentous experiences with you.
