FMU Shines at ICABA Honors Ceremony

Several Florida Memorial University faculty and staff members were honored at the recent Identify Connect and Activate the Black Accomplished (ICABA) Honors Networking and Recognition Reception. ICABA is a South Florida-based group focused on connecting and honoring black professionals and entrepreneurs. The event honored 155 of South Florida’s African-American corporate and education leaders. FMU employees comprised 11 of the night’s honorees.

“FMU is South Florida’s stomping ground for Black intellectuals. This program provided an excellent opportunity to network and exchange best practices with accomplished people in our community.” said FMU President Henry Lewis III, an ICABA Lumina Academia honoree. “As FMU continues its journey to greatness, we will need these resources to provide high quality service to the university and community.”
