 Our site is designed to provide you information about the variety of services available to you. 

 University students may experience many personal and academic stressors. It can be very challenging to do well if you are troubled.  Here at the Counseling Center, it is our mission to enhance student’s opportunity to succeed in achieving their academic goals, and to support you in getting the most of the overall university experience.  The staff of Counseling Center strives to advance the personal and social development of our students.   We provide a variety of counseling, therapeutic, and assessment services including:

Individual and Group Counseling Couples and Family Counseling Crisis Intervention 24 – Hour Help Hotline Diagnostic Evaluations/Referrals Vocational Evaluations/Referrals Mental Health Workshops Psychiatric Consultations/Referrals

The Center is located in the trailer across from the baseball field.  Qualified experienced and caring male and female mental health professionals provide counseling and evaluations.  This service is FREE of charge to students, of the University. 

HOURS OF OPERATION

The Center is open Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. – 5:00p.m.  Evening hours are available by appointment.  Appointments may be made by phone at (305) 626-3138 or in person. 

CONFIDENTIALITY

Counselors in the state of Florida are required by law to maintain confidentiality. Furthermore, the Counseling Center staff understands and values the need to establish a safe and trusting relationship with all individuals we work with.  Files are maintained and secured at the Center.  No access is given to anyone, including the University, without written consent of each individual.
