Financial Aid

FMU Students

Welcome to Florida Memorial University’s Office of Financial Aid Website. Our goal is to guide you and your family through the financial aid process to obtain financial assistance for your education at Florida Memorial University. The cost of a college education requires a major financial expenditure for many families. Together, we will help you realize just how valuable and worthwhile a Florida Memorial University education can be.

FINANCIAL AID UPDATES

Starting with the 2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), these changes will be in effect:

  • You’ll be able to submit your FAFSA earlier. You can file your 17-18 FAFSA as early as October 1, 2016. The earlier submission date will be a permanent change, enabling you to complete and submit a FAFSA as early as October 1st of every year.
  • You’ll use earlier income and tax information. Beginning with the 2017-2018 FAFSA, students will be required to report income and tax information from an earlier tax year. For the 2017-2018 FAFSA, you and your parent(s) as appropriate will report your 2015 income and tax information, rather than your 2016 income and tax information.
  • Since you have already completed your taxes by the time you fill out your FAFSA, you may be able to use the IRS DATA Retrieval Tool (IRS DRT) to automatically import your tax information into your FAFSA. More Info

To ensure that you meet the priority filing date, complete and submit the FAFSA® no later than December 31st. To qualify as a priority filer, we must be in receipt of your FAFSA® report (via the federal processor), including a valid Expected Family Contribution (EFC), by December 31st.
