The mission of the Office of the Controller is to assist the Division of Business and Fiscal Affairs in maintaining sound fiscal administrative controls and practices to support the University in its endeavor to prepare students to function effectively in a highly competitive technological global society. The Controller is responsible for the overall management of the office.
The Office is comprised of seven areas; General Accounting, Grant and Contract Accounting, Accounts Payable, Reporting, Bursar, Direct Loan Accounting, and Purchasing.
The primary goal of the Office is to manage and safeguard the University’s assets and provide accurate and timely information to management and external entities to make informed decisions. Additionally, this office assists the division in its responsibilities to ensure that the facets related to the areas, as stated above, meet federal, state and local regulations. |
