William McKenzie

Mr. McKenzie is the elder music statesman in the Music Program.  His is recognized by his former peers in the Miami-Dade School District as the person to call upon when issues concerning orchestras or bands arise.  He has more than forty years of experience as band and orchestral director in the public schools.  Mr. McKenzie has over the years at Florida Memorial University directed the Concert/Pep Band and because of his extensive experience in public school music has been the resource person for the Music Education program.  Mr. McKenzie has also arranged workshops and seminars for students who are studying for the Music subject area examination of the Florida Teachers’ Examination.  Mr. McKenzie also coordinates Band clinics for the area K-12 schools and instructors.
