Carol Caselle

Vocal Studies

Carol Caselle is a third-generation voice teacher.  Her father and grandfather both taught voice in her hometown in upstate New York.  After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Miami, she embarked on a twenty year performing career while continuing to teach voice on the side.  During this time she won a Carbonell Award (Florida’s version of the Tony Award) for Best Actress in a Musical in 1993. In addition to her work in South Florida, she toured in theatrical productions on both the regional and national levels.  Her students also did well, going on to major universities and performing careers of their own.  After becoming a mother, her career emphasis shifted and she is now a full-time voice teacher who performs on the side.  To achieve this goal, she returned to the University of Miami and completed a Masters in Voice in December 2006.  She joined the faculty of Florida Memorial University in September of 2007, where she is pleased to add her expertise and love of performing arts to an already excellent department.
