Do I have to take the CPT |

If you do not have current SAT (440-Math, 420 English) and/or ACT (19 Composite) scores, you must take the CPT before you can register for college credit courses at Florida Memorial University. If you have current SAT and/or ACT scores when you apply for admission, your academic advisor may use those scores to establish course placement. |

How can I prepare for the CPT? |

The purpose of the CPT is to determine your current skill levels in English, reading, and mathematics. Please see sample questions for students. |

Do I need to know how to use a computer? |

You do not need prior computer experience to take the test. The test instructions are easy to understand. |

No. The CPT is not timed. Therefore, you should give each question as much thought as needed. (Note: Once you answer a question, you cannot return to it). |
