A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Friends,

Welcome to South Florida’s urban educational oasis-- Florida Memorial University. As South Florida’s only Historically Black University with origins dating back to 1879, the institution has emerged from being coined one of the nation’s best-kept secrets into a competitive institution boasting stellar reputations for academic excellence, international focus, and community service. The University is evolving from being “Good to Great” and I invite you to become a part of its historic transformation.

What makes Florida Memorial University unique? As a culturally diverse campus, it is difficult to pinpoint a more inspiring learning environment.
