Statement of Disclosure
 

The information contained in the Florida Memorial catalog represents the current requirements, regulations, programs, fees and other charges of Florida Memorial University. Regulations and requirements stated herein, including fees and other charges, are subject to change without notice at the discretion of the Board of Trustees and the President of the University. The University further reserves the right to require a student to withdraw at any time as well as the right to impose probation on any student whose conduct is unsatisfactory. Admission based on false statements or documents will be voided. Credit will not be granted for classes taken under these circumstances. In addition, tuition or fees paid will not be refunded if a student is dismissed or suspended from the University for cause. Any balances owed the University are considered receivable and will be collected.

Florida Memorial University maintains a system of records which includes application forms, letters of recommendation, admission test scores and student transcripts. Records are made available upon written request through the Office of the Registrar. Direct access and disclosure to a third party is prohibited by law. Access is given only upon written consent by the student or if required in legal matters. Disclosure of student records to parents is not prohibited if the student is listed as a dependent on the federal income tax form of the parent. 

A person does not have the right of access to educational records until he or she has been admitted and has actually begun attending Florida Memorial University.

Parents of dependent students will be provided a hearing by Florida Memorial University if they wish to challenge the contents of the record. If still not satisfied, the parents of dependent students may add explanatory or rebuttal materials to the record. 

Florida Memorial University practices a policy of nondiscrimination in employment and admission.
